JOURNAL ENTRY 1


                                    REGULAR EXERCISE
     Some do it with musıc, some while watching television; some do in their own home, while some others in gyms.For some, they do it in the morning, others at night.No matter where and when, many people all over the world do it and that is EXERCISE.However,unfourtanely, in the rush of modern life, some fail to make room in their lives for exercising.Yet, this healthy habit offers such great benefits that it must be an important part of our daily life.The most significant effects of regular exercise are on cardiovascular and pulmonary functions, skeletal fitness and emotional fitness.



               
     Probably, the most well known effect of exercise is its benefits to our heart.When a person exercises long and hard enough, the heart pumps faster and blood is circulated well throughout the body.Since the heart is muscle, exercise serves to strengthen it.As the heart becomes stronger, a person's stamina and energy level improves.The same is true fort he lungs.A person can get such results within a few weeks just by walking briskly for 30 minutes three or four times a week.

    Another physical benefit of regular exercise is skeletal fitness.It takes longer to achieve, but it is worth the effect, especially for women.Exercise can help prevent osteoporosis,bone degeneration. It is a gradual process of loss of bone that occurs as people age.Yet, it can be halted by regular  exercise.Exercise actually  helps increase bone mass and it is said to be the best preventive measure to take in this case.




     Just like exercise’s such benefits, it also improves people’s emotional fitness.It reduces stress.Aeroic exercise can make  a person more capable of stress because he is less tense.When exercising, blood circulation improves and people burn off the adrenalin which stres causes the body to produce. In addition to helping people cope with stres, exercise can also help to alleviate depression.

     In conclusion,  a regular aerobic exercise not only helps one’s most vital systems function properly, but also helps maintain emotional balance.Apart from these, it doesn’t require that much time and effort to become a healthier person.Instead of watching television so much or surfing internet, people would be better of cycling or walking in order to lead a healthier life.
